Emilia was born in the south of Italy in a small village called Rapolla in the region of Basilicata. From an early age she was interested in the well being of the body although she did not get a chance to train in beauty therapy until her two daughters started nursery school.
She initially trained as a Hairdresser and then, in the late
eighties, as a Beauty Therapist. Her qualifications are extensive and she
keeps up to date with the latest developments within her profession by attending
lectures and workshops. Following her training she was employed in a number
of Salons and Health Farms within the area. Her interest in the holistic approach
to health and beauty grew and led her to train as a Reflexologist, Aromatherapist
and a practitioner of both Reiki and Indian Head Massage. Her success in all
these areas has enabled her to run a very successful business.
Emilia has also trained as a teacher at the University of Huddersfield and
has been employed by both Wakefield and Huddersfield Colleges where she was
able to pass on her skills to students wishing to enter the profession. She
also sells aromatherapy oils and other blends of oils for a variety of symptoms
and she is able to advise customers about their purchases. Emilia has public
liability insurance and is a member of BABTAC.
She also has the following qualifications: C.G. BTEC Cert Ed IIHHT IHBC.
